Dr. Ahmed Awadein, MD, FRCS
Professor of Ophthalmology at Cairo University.
Ahmed Awadein is specialized in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus and has performed over 15000 strabismus operations to date, including complex and recurrent cases. He has over 50 international publications in the field of pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus and has developed a computerized test to assist in the evaluation of patients with diplopia. He also participated as an instructor in various national and international conferences and is currently the secretary general of the Egyptian Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (EAPOS), as well as a board member of the Egyptian Ophthalmological Society. The Egyptian Society for Ophthalmic Investigations, and the Egyptian Council for Ophthalmology Fellowship. Dr Awadein is also the editor-in-chief of the Journal of the Egyptian Ophthalmological Society.
