 has trained as an Ophthalmologist in India, the United Kingdom and Canada. His ophthalmology training was in the postgraduate institute of Ophthalmology Chandigarh India, Yorkshire UK, Windsor UK, Cardiff UK, Swansea UK, Newport UK, Mid Glamorgan UK, Moorfields London UK, Hospital for Sick-kids Canada. He is consultant ophthalmic surgeon In Cardiff in the United Kingdom. His practice includes paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus in children and adults. 

He has held the following administrative and academic roles: postgraduate teaching director, Clinical director, clinical tutor, Training programme director and member of the paediatric subcommittee of the Royal college of ophthalmologists. He is currently a member of the British Isles Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus association, the American association of Pediatric Ophthalmology and strabismus. He is the treasurer of the United Kingdom Paediatric Glaucoma society. has completed a master’s in medical education and is actively involved in training undergraduates and postgraduates in Cardiff University. He has over 75 peer reviewed publications, 5 book chapters and has delivered several invited lectures nationally and internationally.
